Our Team

Paul Chitnis, Director

Paul brings many years’ experience in senior management having been Chief Executive of SCIAF, the international development agency of the Catholic Church in Scotland. He has also worked for Christian Aid and HCPT. In 1981, he set up The Newman Holiday Trust to provide holidays for disabled children in the UK.  Paul has travelled widely in Africa, Asia and Latin America where he has witnessed the work of Jesuits to serve the faith and promote justice.

Joelene Wilkie, Database Officer

Joelene manages the database, supports our donors and assists with the front of house duties at Jesuit Missions. With a degree in Social Work, Joelene has experience of working in executive support, team assistant and communications roles in government, commercial and charity sectors.

Lynn McWilliams, Community Engagement Officer

Lynn joined Jesuit Missions as Outreach Coordinator in July 2018. She has spent 36 years in secondary education, teaching Religious Education and History. Early in her career she taught in the international sector, first in Rome, where she worked for the Congregation of Holy Cross, and then in Dublin. For 25 years she taught at St Aloysius’ College in Glasgow, where she served as Head of Religious Education and more recently as Director of Christian Formation. She has designed and taught courses in Ignatian Spirituality and Christian Social Justice. She coordinated the College’s Justice and Peace Society and helped to establish its Romero Centre.

Nuala Doran, PA/Office Manager

Nuala joined Jesuit Missions in August 2019 as PA to the Director and Office Manager. Before working at Jesuit Missions she spent over 21 years working for the World’s Learning Company Pearson specialising in internal and external communications and event management. She ran her own events company and has also worked for a photo booth company managing their events.

Lucy Gillingham, International Programmes Officer

Lucy started working for Jesuit Missions in December 2019. She studied History and Politics of the Americas at Warwick and then completed a masters in Latin American Politics at UCL, writing her masters thesis on the gender politics of Pope Francis. Lucy coordinates funded projects and is the primary point of contact for our partners. She is responsible for financial management and monitoring of programmes, providing support to our partners on the ground to deliver short and long-term development interventions, and ensuring programmes reflect Jesuit Missions’ strategic priorities.

Colm Fahy, Advocacy and Campaigns Officer

Colm joined Jesuit Missions in November 2020 as an intern. He studied History at Royal Holloway, University of London and has since completed a masters at King’s College London, writing thesis’s both on Indian and African decolonisation. He first encountered the Jesuits at school and acted as a Catholic society president at university. Since November 2021 Colm has been our Advocacy and Campaigns Officer.

Bridget Chisnall, Finance Officer

Bridget is Jesuit Missions newest member of staff having joined us in October 2021.
