Volunteering: young adults

The great Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi is credited with saying: ‘Be the change you want to see’. Each of us has an important role to play in promoting change in a world which faces a myriad of challenges, ranging from climate change and war to discrimination against women and lack of access to education.

A key question is, ‘What kind of a world do we want to leave for those who come after us? Apathy is not an option. Action is needed.

Your unique skills are essential. Whether it is participating in a campaign by writing to an elected official, meeting with key persons within your community to share your views, attending a JM event, or participating in a demonstration or vigil. Change happens when we make our voices heard.

Justice isn’t a spectator sport!
