“Running for Jesuit Missions was very important for me. Every day at St Ignatius College we ask God in our prayers to teach us to be generous, and I personally wanted to put this into action and try to make a difference to the lives of others. The boys in our community look to us as staff to be role models and they have been fantastic supporters of my decision to run the marathon for a charity very close to all of our hearts.” Anne-Marie, Marathon runner
Jesuit Missions has a long tradition of sending volunteers abroad, and currently offer a placement in Kyrgyzstan. You can find out more by visiting the volunteering webpage.
Volunteering is currently suspended due to COVID-19. In the meantime you are encouraged to sign up to our COP26 Pilgrimage.
“I spent a month in Kyrgyzstan in August 2019, helping serve the Jesuit mission to both Catholics and non-Catholics in the country. In a country of six million with only around six hundred Catholics, it was incredibly humbling and a great privilege to witness the faith of this minority group.” – Archie, Jesuit Missions volunteer
One of the most simple and effective ways to support Jesuit Missions and our works is through prayer. We are happy to provide you with the resources to join us in prayer.
