A reflection on Mother Teresa
Kolkata, the city of joy. A city that is known for the inspiring work of Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. In Albanian, Gonxhe means “rosebud” or “little flower”. She is known to the world simply as Mother Teresa and her work still continues today.
More than one fifth of the population in Kolkata are living below the poverty line, yet it is called the city of joy.
Walking around the city, what one experiences above all else is joy and love. Mother Teresa said: “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
No matter who you are or what possessions you have, everyone can show love in their actions no matter how small. These are the little flowers that we share with the world.
