WHAT WE DO

Programmes

Jesuit Missions is the international mission and development office of the Jesuits in Britain. We are part of the Xavier Network, 14 mission and development offices in Europe, North America and Australia.

We provide grants for projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America, which are aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and the Universal Apostolic Preferences of the Society of Jesus. Typically, JM-supported projects run from one to three years.

It is important to us that our supporters are kept in touch with the work that is happening overseas. Because of this, our campaigns feature the stories of people whose lives have been changed through your generosity.

Advocacy and Campaigns

Our campaigns highlight the work that is done by JM partners around the world and focus on key social justice and development issues.

Whether it is standing up for human rights campaigner Fr Stan Swamy who was unjustly imprisoned in India for his work on behalf of maginalised indigenous people, or speaking out for climate justice, Jesuit Missions works to create a fairer world.

We also host talks and events and provide information about current issues. We help to keep you informed.

Community Engagement

Jesuit Missions provides talks, assemblies, events and workshops for schools, parishes, young adults groups, university chaplaincies and other organisations. We believe that our supporters are our greatest asset.
