Jonathan Heard, Director

Jon joined Jesuit Missions in May 2026. He has over twenty years’ professional experience in the not-for-profit sector, helping NGOs and charities build relationships with funders, businesses and philanthropists.
Jon’s previous roles include working for a number of agencies and charities of the Catholic Church in the UK and Africa and working for the Royal Air Force’s charities helping develop services and facilities for the families of RAF personnel. Most recently he served as the Deputy Director of International Programmes at Stella Maris, the maritime agency of the Catholic Church.
Jon holds a Master’s in Voluntary Sector Management at Bayes Business School, City University, and is a trustee of Caritas Social Action Network (CSAN).
Laura Angarita Romero, International Programmes Officer

Laura joined the office in September 2023. A Colombian, she studied Political Science at Javeriana University before completing her masters in Human Rights at Sussex University.
Before Jesuit Missions, Laura worked with Colombian government institutions and UN institutions such as WFP and UNHCR. She has a lot of experience leading projects for vulnerable people, including internally displaced people, refugees and migrants.
Laura manages the international projects financed by Jesuit Missions and leads our relationship with our partners in the Global South.
Alicia Coker, Fundraising Manager

Alicia joined Jesuit Missions in December 2024, driven by a deep commitment to social justice and the transformative impact of faith-based initiatives.
Previously, she worked at Eton College, launching a sustainable, regular giving campaign, overseeing stewardship and events, and leading on strategic planning to enhance donor participation.
Passionate about service, she volunteered with the HCPT in Lourdes during Easter 2024, an experience that reinforced her dedication to supporting vulnerable individuals and communities.
Currently studying Psychology with The Open University, Alicia hopes to integrate her understanding of human behaviour with philanthropy, inspiring greater engagement and sustainable support for Jesuit Missions’ vital work.
Nuala Doran, PA/Office Manager

Nuala joined Jesuit Missions in August 2019 as PA to the Director and Office Manager.
Before working at Jesuit Missions she spent over 21 years working for the World’s Learning Company Pearson specialising in internal and external communications and event management.
She ran her own events company and has also worked for a photo booth company managing their events.
Jules Gibson, Community Engagement Manager

Jules joined Jesuit Missions in July 2025, following 14 years as a teacher and Head of Religious Studies and Philosophy at Stonyhurst College.
She holds a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from St Andrews University and a PGCE in Secondary Religious Education.
Her international experience includes building a primary school and founding a charity in Ghana’s equatorial rainforest in 2009. Jules has travelled extensively across Africa and Eastern Europe, focusing on educational outreach, refugee support, and the rehabilitation of girls affected by trafficking.
Pauline Mulombe, Finance Officer

Pauline started working for Jesuit Missions in May 2022. She is AAT qualified and ACCA part qualified.
Polyvalent, she is interested in many things from yoga to politics, this is why she is enjoying working for charities and meeting passionate people.
As a finance professional, she takes pride in her contribution to help a good cause. Her goal is to give the best support possible to Jesuit Missions to help in its objectives, supporting refugees and those living in extreme poverty.
Adam Shaw, Media and Communications Officer

Adam joined Jesuit Missions in 2023, following a number of years working as a news and features journalist across several media platforms.
His work has seen him cover everything from the Irish in Britain, local politics in north-west London and the UK travel industry.
Adam is responsible for the news, social media and communications output at Jesuit Missions, as well as inputting on a strategy on how best to promote its works.
Jessica Thomas, Supporter Care and Engagement Officer

Jessica started working for Jesuit Missions in April 2023. Her academic background is in History and English, which she studied at Exeter University.
Jessica is the first point of contact for all supporter/donor queries. Previously, as an intern, she worked for an international development organisation’s pro bono broker service, bringing law firms together with development organisations that required their legal expertise.
She is responsible for database management, monitoring our fundraising appeals and evaluating donor satisfaction and care.”
Anne Tran, Advocacy & Campaigns Officer

Anne joined Jesuit Missions as Advocacy and Campaigns Officer, bringing experience in policy, advocacy and development finance.
Before Jesuit Missions, Anne worked as a Parliamentary Researcher in the House of Commons and later as an Analyst at the Development Guarantee Group, where she focused on project management, stakeholder engagement and operational delivery.
Anne is currently completing a Master of Science in Environmental Technology, specialising in Energy Policy, at Imperial College London. Alongside this, she serves as a Board Observer for Carers Trust, representing young carers in education and contributing to national health and social care policy.
