Thousands of people are expected to meet with MPs as part of a campaign to raise awareness around the future of our planet – and Jesuit Missions wants its supporters to get involved.
A Mass Lobby of Parliament, organised by The Climate Coalition, will take place on Wednesday 9th July.
Involving groups and individuals from across the UK, it is anticipated it will be “the most impactful climate and nature lobby” the country has ever seen.
More than 3,000 people – including those in the Jesuit Missions team – have already registered to meet with their MP on the day.
The Climate Coalition is calling on the Government to cut bills and back UK jobs, restore nature, and deliver funding to communities hit hardest by climate change at home and abroad.
It is asking those taking part in the Mass Lobby to consider these themes, and any other concerns they might have about the environment, when talking with their MP.

Jesuit Missions has consistently campaigned on issues such as climate change, which has a devastating impact on some of our Jesuit partners in the Global South.
We have led letter-writing initiatives aimed at leading UK politicians, and have taken part in key climate conferences, including COPs and the annual SB talks in Bonn.
Now we want as many supporters as possible to join us for the Mass Lobby, to ensure our voices – and those of our partners – are amplified.
Richard Solly, Campaigns & Advocacy Officer at Jesuit Missions, said: “The Mass Lobby for climate, nature and debt cancellation is a really important opportunity to make our voices heard in Parliament.
“Our MPs need to know that people care about these things. MPs say that very few people ever talk to them about climate change, so they get the impression that people don’t care – and that’s not true.
“So please do sign up for the lobby, and help MPs understand the urgency of taking action.”
